Sugar Land Awards & Recognition

As of the 2010 census Sugar Land had a population of 78,817. With this expansion, Sugar Land has received a number of recognitions including high marks for safety (12th safest), city planning, cultural diversity, and even a CNN/MONEY magazine recognition as one of the country’s 100 Best Places to Live in the U.S. Our Mayors, airports, planned communities, parks, schools and police departments have all received high marks for excellence. We are very proud of Sugar Land’s civil and community recognitions and will continue to post Sugar Land accolades here.
