Real estate and Mardi Gras… what’s the connection?

When you hear someone talk about New Orleans… you think Mardi Gras. You picture huge, loud crowds having a party. One last chance to feast before Lent.

It’s a great time… if you like huge, loud crowds.
But if you really want to see the city of New Orleans, it’s best to go when it’s not Mardi Gras… when it’s less crowded.

From a real estate perspective, I think Mardi Gras should signify something else from now on…

The last chance to list your house before the crowded, loud Spring market hits.

So many people tend to wait until the Spring to list their home. Everyone seems to think it is the best time to do it because there are more buyers looking at that point.

But it is not necessarily the best time to list your home, strategically speaking. Because at that point, it is like one big, loud party.

If you want your home to stand out and be noticed, it makes a whole lot of sense to list before the streets get crowded with for sale sign, after for sale sign.

There are always true buyers in the market. It’s better to get their true attention, before there’s a lot more choices for them to consider.

If you’re thinking of selling your house this Spring, give me a call ASAP. If not, just tuck this away for future reference!
